Overview

Product Modifiers allow customers to select optional add-ons or customizations before adding a product to their cart. Common uses include selecting flavors, sizes, upgrades, packaging options, or other product-specific choices.

Enabling Product Modifiers

Product Modifiers are not enabled by default.

To have Product Modifiers added to your site, contact support@grazecart.com.

Once the feature has been enabled, a new Modifier Library option will appear under the Products menu.

Accessing the Modifier Library

The Modifier Library is the central location where all modifiers are created and managed.

Navigate to the Modifier Library

1. From the admin dashboard, select Products.
2. Click Modifier Library.

The Modifier Library displays all available modifiers that can be assigned to products.

Creating a Modifier

1. Open the Modifier Library.
2. Click Add Modifier.
3. Enter the modifier details, including:
   • Modifier Name
   • Additional Price (if applicable)
4. Save the modifier.

Once saved, the modifier becomes available for assignment to products.

Assigning Modifiers to a Product

After creating modifiers in the Modifier Library, they can be attached to individual products.

Add Modifiers to a Product

1. Navigate to Products and open the desired product.
2. Select the Modifiers tab.
3. Check the box next to each modifier you want to make available for that product.
4. Click Save.

Customer Experience

When a customer selects a product that has modifiers assigned, they will be prompted to choose from the available modifier options before adding the item to their cart.

This helps ensure customers can customize products and make required selections during the ordering process.

Best Practices

• Create modifiers in the Modifier Library before configuring products.
• Use clear and descriptive modifier names so customers understand their options.
• Only assign modifiers that are relevant to the specific product.
• Review product pages after saving to verify the correct modifier options appear to customers.

Troubleshooting

Modifier Library is not visible

If the Modifier Library option does not appear under Products, the feature may not be enabled on your site. Contact support@grazecart.com for assistance.

Modifiers do not appear on a product

• Verify the modifier has been created in the Modifier Library.
• Confirm the modifier is selected on the product's Modifiers tab.
• Save the product after making changes.
