GrazeCart POS Overview

GrazeCart POS is a new in‑person point‑of‑sale solution built on the GrazeCart Platform API. It allows merchants to sell products in physical locations while staying fully connected to their GrazeCart store, products, pricing, and payments.

This document provides an overview of GrazeCart POS.


What GrazeCart POS Does

GrazeCart POS enables you to:

  • Take in‑person payments using supported processors
  • Scan standard barcodes for packaged products
  • Scan weight‑embedded barcodes for variable‑weight items
  • Keep in‑person sales and inventory synced with your GrazeCart store
  • Supports the highly requested, Multi-Location use.  Allowing merchants to take sales at multiple locations at the same time, which the Express POS does not support.

Signing into GrazeCart POS

  • Navigate to Apps
  • Select GrazeCart POS
  • Press Go to App
    • When this is pressed the user (email and password) you are signed in with in GrazeCart will sync with GrazeCart ID to be used for sign in.
  • This will bring you to a page to select Sign in with GrazeCart
  • Select the Sign in with GrazeCart button
  • You will then see a Sign In page and use the same email and password for your GrazeCart site to sign in

Supported Payment Processors

GrazeCart POS is available to merchants using the following processors:

  • GrazeCart Payments
    • Supported Card Reader: P5
  • GrazeCart’s Stripe Custom Payments
    • Supported Card Reader: BPOS WisePOS E
  • Stripe Standard
    • Supported Card Reader: BPOS WisePOS E

Barcode Scanning Capabilities

GrazeCart POS supports barcode‑based checkout to speed up in‑person sales.

Standard Barcodes

  • Used for fixed‑price, packaged products
  • Scanning adds the product directly to the cart

Weight‑Embedded Barcodes

  • Used for variable‑weight items such as meat, cheese, or bulk goods
  • Barcodes include weight information
  • GrazeCart POS automatically calculates the correct item total

Store & Inventory Sync

Because GrazeCart POS is built on the GrazeCart Platform API:

  • Products are pulled directly from your GrazeCart catalog
  • Prices reflect your current store settings
  • POS sales stay aligned with online orders

This reduces manual updates and helps keep inventory and reporting consistent.


Security & Payments

All payments processed through GrazeCart POS:

  • Use secure, encrypted connections
  • Are handled by PCI‑compliant payment processors
  • Do not store raw card data on GrazeCart servers
